What does a website cost?
Well! To be honest a website needn’t cost you anything!! If you are conversant with HTML (the language of website design) and CSS (the language of website styling) and you are prepared to have your site hosted by a free hosting company who will load your website with advertising you can do it yourself for nothing.
Normally however a website will incur annual costs. Domain registration to secure your website name (That’s the monakmore.co.uk bit of this site) will cost you about £4 per year for a co.uk domain.
Hosting (that’s the charge made by a hosting company for keeping the website on their servers and making it available to the Internet) varies according to the hosting company but is available from the reputable hosting company that we use for about £40 per year (that’s only about 11p per day!).
Add to these annual charges the one-off cost of getting your website designed and set-up unless you are doing it yourself. This cost can vary greatly depending on what you want your website to do so it is not possible to give an actual figure.
We will build and set up a website based on the WordPress publishing platform from as little as £100 but we can only give you a firm quote after discussing your requirements with you. Be aware that we do not ask for any money before your website has been approved by you so you have nothing to lose by requesting a quote.
Once a quote has been made you can rest assured that there will be no extra charges.
